June 27, 2019 by erfa5t8
Maricopa County Attorney Expense Montgomery is sailing past public criticisms as his 2nd attempt to end up being an Arizona Supreme Court judge moves
forward. The Commission on Appellate Court Consultations will speak with Montgomery and the 8 other last applicants on July 26 for the judgeship. Chief Justice Scott Bales is retiring on July 31 and Governor Ducey will need to recommend a minimum of 3 of those last applicants for the judgeship, Phoenix New Times reports. Montgomery’s capability to carry out the duties needed to be an objective judge have been questioned various times. Montgomery’s very first attempt at the judgeship was quickly compressed due to claims of misbehavior and an assault of messages fromthe public voicing their displeasure with the county lawyer. Arizonans are prompted to contact Guv Doug Ducey and the Arizona Commissions on Appellate and Trial Court Consultations to voice their viewpoint of Montgomery and/or the other Supreme Court candidates.
