Arizona guv Doug Ducey isn’t shy about his anti-marijuana views.

In 2016, Ducey actively opposed efforts to legalize marijuana for adult use, and his negative opinion of cannabis appears to still be the same, which is why NORML gave him a” D “grade on their most current legal report card. It is expected that Ducey will oppose this year’s legalization efforts.

Ducey did sign a costs into law which will help make medical marijuana safer for patients by executing requirements for testing marijuana and a costs making medical marijuana cards valid for 2 years instead of one, hence conserving clients money on their medical marijuana card. Nevertheless, Ducey’s declarations frequently still echo tones of Reefer Madness.

He’s been estimated stating things like, “I don’t think any state ever got stronger by being stoned.”

It’s disheartening to see a public servant, such as a guv, be so opposed and closed-minded to a plant that has actually been clinically shown to have healing advantages for many health conditions.
