Prepare for an Old Town Scottsdale Dispensary Are Fading Fast

Sunday Item, a medical cannabis dispensary to-be, had its sights set on a place in Old Town Scottsdale, but local company owner are battling versus it saying it’ll “alter the character of the neighborhood.”
The Scottsdale City board seems to agree with the regional entrepreneur, according to AZCentral, and it is starting to look like Sunday Goods will have to find a new location.
This would leave the location of the Tempe/Scottsdale border all of the method up to Via De Ventura and the 101 without a dispensary, which suggests patients because location will need to continue taking a trip further to get medicine.
Sunday Goods would share a building with 2 bars, Social Tap and Gilligins. Given the known alcohol-infused partying nature of that area in Old Town Scottsdale, it might be seen as hypocritical of the local entrepreneur to loathe a medical cannabis dispensary opening close by.
Jason Rose, representative for Sunday Item, stated, “Suddenly they’re worried about morality in the neighborhood?”
Sunday Goods was granted a license in 2017 to open a dispensary in South Scottsdale. The dispensary chose the Old Town place on Fifth Opportunity because it was the best potential area.
Sunday Item will need a yes vote from 5 of the 7 Scottsdale City board members to move proceed with their strategies. Currently, it looks like the council members are divided.
” I believe we can do better,” stated a regional. “Gain access to should be enhanced so that individuals do not have to drive up to north Scottsdale for their discomfort medication.”
